Off-Duty Tomball Firefighter/EMT dies in Motor Vehicle Accident – Woodlands Online

TOMBALL, TX — The City of Tomball and the Tomball Fire Department is saddened to report that Firefighter/EMT Volney ‘Rusty’ Alston was killed in an early morning motor vehicle accident on Sunday, December 12, 2021, while off-duty.

Alston has been been with the City of Tomball since April 1st 2018, serving as a Firefighter/EMT. Rusty has made a lasting impression on our Fire Department and we are proud to have served with him. Funeral services will released as soon as arrangements are finalized.

Rusty leaves behind a wife, Angela, and 2 sons, Arturo and Cary. The City of Tomball requests thoughts and prayers for the family of Volney ‘Rusty’ Alston.
