Scots restaurant Cafe 52 blasted over controversial job ad that includes lists people ‘owner can’t sta… – The Scottish Sun

A SCOTS restaurant has been blasted over an "embarrassing" job ad which lists traits that the owner "cannot stand".
Cafe 52, on The Green, Aberdeen, posted a listing for staff online, including on the job site Indeed.
The restaurant, which is about to celebrate its 27th year in business, is described as a "rustic cafe with outdoor tables, for lunchtime light bites, tapas and Modern British evening meals."
The eatery said it is seeking new staff members to join its "superb, dedicated, hard-working team".
But the ad also lists several traits that the owner, Steven Bothwell, "cannot stand", including "preciousness, virtue signalling, mask wearing, Guardian readers, liars, lazy b*****ds and self testers".
Mr Bothwell, 50, has previously ridiculed the pandemic on social media, branding Covid an "imaginary virus" and calling the vaccine an "experimental serum" and "gene editing weapon".
The ad lists part-time, full-time and permanent positions available, with part-time hours of 30 to 45 hours per week available.
The ad read: "Cafe 52 is 27 years old and we would like REAL people to join our super, dedicated, hard working team. Cafe 52 is the most honest, upfront, no bulls**t restaurant in Aberdeen serving high quality innovative dishes celebrating the seasons.
"Much of the produce is homegrown and the owner's mum, Mrs B serves up the puddings which are wonderful.
"The owner cannot stand preciousness, virtue signalling, mask wearing, Guardian readers, liars, lazy b****ds and self testers.
"Hospitality is a wonderful industry but only when staff pull together leave their ego's in their lockers. Ready to rock and roll when you are.
"Job types: full-time, part-time, permanent. Part-time hours: 30-45 per week.
"Salary: £9.00-£10.00 per hour. Additional pay: tips."
The ad attracted a backlash on social media, with some questioning the part-time hours.
On Twitter, one person said: "This is so, so embarrassing."
Another wrote: "Part time 30-45hours. That's no part time."
A third said: "Imagine writing that and keeping a straight face when you type 'Salary: £9'."
Cafe 52 has been contacted for comment.
