One of Australia’s most successful business-to-business publishing and events companies, BHA Media, a subsidiary of The Intermedia Group, has a golden online editorial opportunity within one of our leading beauty titles, Professional Beauty.

You’ll be leading our digital editorial across online, social and emerging new media under the guidance of our print Editor. You’ll be collaborating closely with our print team and forging a close relationship with the National Sales Manager to offer innovative commercial solutions, including webinars, sponsored content and creative content production.
We want someone with a strong editorial vision to build on the title’s 27-year history as ‘the bible of the beauty industry’. Writing, editing and producing you’ll have ownership and responsibility for our digital output and growth plus the room to innovate and experiment with new commercially-viable formats including video and podcasts.
The Role
As Professional Beauty’s Online & Special Projects Editor, you will research and write daily articles for the website and twice-weekly newsletters, inspiring and informing our B2B readership of beauty professionals.
You will also be responsible for curating and creating social media content across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn on a daily basis to continuously grow our reach and following. Your work on social media will play an important role in connecting with the industry, starting conversations, and representing our business-minded audience in a professional but engaging manner.
Crucially, you’ll also be an important representative of the title externally, forging commercial relationships with brands and pitching to clients and partners alongside the sales lead.
The Person
We are looking for a highly motivated and reliable individual with experience in the beauty industry. Writing skills are essential as well as an eye for content creation and attention to detail.
Applicants with previous experience in an agency environment, proven commercial nouse and/or a content solutions background, all client-facing, will be at a distinct advantage.
Those with an interest in getting stuck into performance numbers, acting on data and the mechanics of website functionality will also be considered favourably.
You must be a self-starter capable of executing your job with autonomy, while also being a team player. You will represent Professional Beauty at industry events with possible domestic travel involved, so an ability to build and maintain strong brand relationships is required as well as a proactive attitude. This is a hybrid working role – some office, some remotely – with potential flexibility over the number of days worked. You will attend regular media events and industry conferences, some of which may be after-hours, so taking pride in your position and showing enthusiasm to represent Professional Beauty is important.
In return for your efforts, you will be compensated with an attractive base salary plus superannuation, as well as beauty perks on a regular basis.
