El Paso County Benefits
Serves the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office by performing various routine non-sworn law enforcement duties that do not require carrying a weapon or arrest authority. Conducts criminal investigations in cases that do not require the intervention of a sworn deputy and do not involve suspect contact. Commits to and leads continual service improvement efforts in infrastructure and operations. Fosters a business-oriented culture and mindset driven by the opportunity to elevate the flow of value to the customer.
Work Conditions
Work is primarily performed in the field in conditions including extreme weather, communicable diseases, and potential exposure to unpleasant crime scene conditions. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, and bend for prolonged periods. Must have the ability to push, pull, and lift and/or carry 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally. Potential exposure to hostile or aggressive individuals and criminal suspects.
