Daniel “Dan” Lee Van Meter, 72, of Wellsville, Ohio passed away in his sleep on December 18, 2021.
Dan was predeceased in death by his parents, Harold and Regina Van Meter.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Donna “Susie” Simmons Van Meter; daughter Traci (Van Meter) Wright of Buford, GA; granddaughters: Kiplea Mae Wright, Olivia Rose Wright, Sophia Danielle Wright; grandson, Harrison Wiant Wright; stepson, Andrew George Gooliak of Lake Forest, IL; daughter-in-law, Marguerite Gooliak; granddaughters: Maya Cathleen Gooliak, Marianna Casella Gooliak; brothers: Dennis Van Meter, Bruce Van Meter, Steve Van Meter; nieces and nephews.
Dan served in the Army during the Vietnam war. He worked in sales for many years, and retired from Mohawk Industries. Dan is fondly remembered for his care for others and always lending a hand to neighbors and those in need. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. The family asks memorial contributions be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America, at vva.org.
Dan’s professional funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Perryopolis, PA.
